These tapestries are made as a group using potato stamps and acrylic paint. Potatoes are cross-cultural, and found in cuisine around the world. Using it as a vessel for connection, all the families worked on the tapestry together through a meditative process of repetitive action. Each stamp symbolizes one step they've taken towards building new lives in Canada. The variety of patterns and colours come together in a dynamic, yet harmonious piece.
